Business News: Bike Stop Cafe Considers Move to Main Street

May 22, 2013

Jodi Devonshire and Tony Caruso, owners of the 2nd Street Bike Stop Cafe in Frenchtown, are pondering moving the shop to South Main Street into a building located behind John Dengler Tobacconist.

The 1,500 square foot building is owned by former city councilman Larry Muench and used to be the home of the Lewis and Clark Museum and Nature Center, which moved to the Boat House on the riverfront.

Muench said nothing has been formalized, however, he's hopeful that the location would work well for the Bike Stop Cafe.

"They'll have a bigger outside section and a bigger inside section," he said, adding there aren't too many places to grab breakfast on South Main Street. "I think the bikers will show up there."

For now, the Cafe has a sign hanging on outside of the the new location. A move could happen sometime this fall.
